I first met with Hannah and Sam for their beautiful engagement session at Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Elkhart in the summer and then I had the pleasure of photographing Hannah’s family at their home shortly before her wedding day. I love when I get to work with my clients multiple times throughout their lives.
Hannah and Sam’s intimate wedding at her family home was something dreams are made of. There was so much love in the air, I couldn’t help but tear up myself multiple times throughout the day. I got to witness a stunning sunrise as I drove to their house in the early morning, ready for the day’s events. I am forever grateful to have been included on their special day.

When your friends call on you to document their wedding day, you answer the call. I was honored to be the photographer for Candy and Tom’s gorgeous Catholic wedding in Garrett, Indiana at the beautiful St. Joseph Catholic Church. The interior of the church is stunning, but it paled in comparison to the sheer beauty Candy exuded on their big day.
It makes my heart sing when couples incorporate special, personal elements into their wedding, and this was no exception. One of my favorite parts was the THREE generations of wedding rings from Candy, her mother, and grandmother.

Lyndsey and Joshua pledged their love to each other at the Lodge at River Valley Farm in Yorktown, Indiana in their large, gorgeous, and intimate fall wedding. I am always taken aback by the love felt on wedding days and this day was no different. From the moment I met Lyndsey and Josh, we were friends and their families treated me like family. I’ve never felt so welcomed and loved before. It was like we had known each other for years.

Sarah and Matt’s unique outdoor DIY wedding at Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana was full of love and laughter and personal touches. I was absolutely over the moon with Sarah’s unique wedding dress from Etsy as well as her daughter’s dress. They were so beautiful!
I really love it when couples incorporate highly personal items into their wedding day. It makes the romance and the sentiment even deeper. The handcrafted ceramic mugs they drank out of at the reception were just one of the many personal items Sarah and Matt included at their wedding. They were also sure to bring a bunch of lawn games for the kids and adults to enjoy, like the giant Jenga game. Who wouldn’t have fun playing that?!
The CCC Shelter was the perfect location for their unique outdoor DIY wedding because we had the perfect view overlooking a small area of woods – and we had some deer greet us! – as well as the beach. The sunset cast golden rays across the reception area as dinner came to a close and the party began. It was perfect.

I met Kayla on our Tuesday Night Ladies bowling league at my family’s alley, Garrett Bowl. She is a longtime friend of my stepsister and Tuesday nights were always a blast! When she asked me to be her wedding photographer, I was absolutely over the moon! We met up that fall and played in the leaves in Fort Wayne during their engagement session. Nick absolutely cracked me up; their session definitely ranks as one of my top favorites.
Kayla and Nick’s intimate country club wedding at Pine Valley Country Club in Fort Wayne was a gorgeous event full of sentiment, love, and laughter. I felt like a part of the family right away and had such a great time with everyone. I was so delighted when I heard that they chose their youth pastor from Sunday school to marry them. Personal and sentimental touches are some of my favorite things to experience at weddings. It truly adds a unique and unforgettable touch to your big day. Another one of my favorite things is when the dance floor is hoppin’ and it definitely was at Kayla and Nick’s reception! I don’t think there was a single moment where there wasn’t a person out getting down on the dance floor. It is so fulfilling to see everyone grooving and having a genuinely good time together.

Colleen and John’s intimate summer lake wedding on Kasota Island in Clear Lake, Indiana was an event full of sunshine and love. Surrounded by their closest friends and family on a perfect summer morning, these two beautiful souls exchanged heartfelt vows in an emotional ceremony on the island before hopping on pontoons and celebrating in a “garden social” style lunch at the lake house. The sun was shining and the weather was absolutely perfect. The day was full of love and laughter and smiles everywhere – even family pets had their moment in the sun!
