A Day in the Life.
The big moments and milestones, the birthday parties, the celebrations – they are all important, but it’s these everyday moments – a day in your life – that make up the bigger picture. These daily activities, whether quiet or chaotic, become routine. The days pass by quicker as we try to get from Point A to Point B. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the movement of life without taking a second glance.
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller (one of my favorite movies!)
These Day in the Life Documentary Sessions are rooted deep within my heart because I want to remember the regular moments. I want to remember how I felt when my boys made a giant mess painting at the kitchen table Friday morning. I want to remember the noisy giggles and abandoned sippy cups, the random sock in the kitchen drawer and Lego minefield that is their bedroom. I want to remember when they randomly shout, “mommy! I love you!” from across the house.
I want to slow myself down, because try as I might, I can’t control time.
It’s not perfect. They’re not staged moments or Pinterest-esque. They’re real. Sometimes messy. Always full of love. And they’re yours. <3
I had such an amazing time getting to know the Fisher family. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and into your lives for a day.
P.S. I bawled like a baby as I watched my final edit of their slideshow. <3
Let’s chat about a day in your life.
